Campus Highlights
2024-2025 School Year:
The Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy has a proven track record of academic success that is well known inside and outside of Dallas. Our campus earned a Blue Ribbon in 2017 and our goal is to apply and earn another Blue Ribbon when we become eligible in 2022. Our curriculum challenges students beyond the traditional comprehensive academic curriculum with multiple foreign languages and Pre-Advanced Placement and Advanced Placement courses complemented by a robust array of extracurricular activities. We offer a premier education that is tailor-made to develop character and leadership while sharpening academic skills. Students are required to participate in an academic summer term and to complete community service hours.
The Brothers and Teachers have the benefit of The FRIENDS of Barack Obama, our school’s Foundation. Our foundation awards grants for student enrichment, program enrichment and professional enrichment. Students are encouraged to apply for grants to offset fees for study abroad opportunities, summer camps and other opportunities to prepare them to be Leaders of Tomorrow! Teachers are also encouraged to apply for grants for their own professional development.
